Hi Steve, Geoff and all.

Yes no trace when inspected so changed it anyway. Have now changed the clip from a standard crimp type to a jubilee. Its a case of wait and see now. Any repeat of vapour smell will be reported but hopefully all ok now.
Smell of leather is the best sign.
