Hey guys I was hoping someone could shed light on whether the 3200gt rear diff ring and pinion or whole assembly is compatible with any other Maseratis or makes? I'd love to make a shorter ratio diff for my automatic any help much appreciated

I thought the 3200 auto diff was already shorter than the manual version... a good every day mod that!

I'm not 100% sure but the auto is a 3.9 and manual a 3.2 so I'd love to throw a 4.27 or similar in I've done this in a few autos and boy do they come to life, I'm hoping someone has first hand experience opening up one and swapping or knowing that they looked compatible ect as car makes save costs by making the housing the same size so ring and pinions can be adjusted for future cars hoping Maserati thought along these lines

Got that the wrong way round sorry mate, I've had one apart..

Just the regular heavy duty old school ZF multi plate diff in there, works well though

In the early 80's when we used to race the Bi Turbo's we used BMW based diffs as they were so many variations of diff ratios to be had off the shelf.
