4200 central console removal

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the central console/cd changer on a 4200. I need to access the back to plug in an iPod/Phone lead to the blue CD changer socket, which is right at the bottom. I can get the arm rest off etc but not sure how to get any further.

Thanks David, I'll give it a go, but it looks slightly different from mine.....there's a ton load more wires back there on mine.

I think the last one I did took less than 3 hours, and I was being *very* careful (not my car!). Having dealt with the vents twice now, I reckon < 2 hours.
