Having spent quite a bit of capital outlay as well as sweat equity getting my little black Coupe sorted, my OCD engineering side yearned for numerical proof that it was all worthwhile.
Track days have given quite a bit of evidence of how far she has come from the mess she was when purchased two years go April.
A little troll repellent is in order before going any further, having read through several other dyno related posts here and on ML:
Bottom line: 360 hp at the wheel. Several runs performed, all of them consistent with less than 1% difference between runs
While I don’t have an engineering error proof estimate of precise drivetrain losses, experience dictates a range of 14-18%, yielding 419-439 bhp as an approximation. Using 420 as a conservative and easily remembered value, 30 above stock… seems quite reasonable.
Power related mods include:
Does anyone else have Coupe’, Spyder, GS dyno runs to share and compare?

- I have no “before” dyno run. I know that. Didn’t think of it two years ago.
- I know that estimating drivetrain losses is an inexact science, to be kind

Power related mods include:
- gutted primary cats (they were blown when I purchased the car)
- replaced secondary cats with Larini sport cats
- x-pipe
- FD ECM set to a 93 octane tune (yes, now I wish I had a race fuel tune in there too)
- replaced the air cleaner with a Coupe’ Trofeo style silicone hose and cone filter. No, I don’t really think this gives more power, but I wanted to get a few special people spun up a bit.
