The Larini decat race pipes may mean you get a difference with an X-pipe on the GS. Mine is bog standard with an X-pipe and very little difference in all honesty. Inside the car, cannot hear any difference - no crackles or pops on overrun or growl at high revs. Maybe people outside on the street can hear it? Doesn't sound anything like the videos I have seen. But there is a noticeable improvement in power and quickness - probably through better scavenging of exhaust gases with less resistance through the X-pipe. let us know what a difference the X-pipe makes and perhaps an audio/video clip of before and after?Whoop whoop! I’m going to try to do some before and after vids, so I can easily listen to both and see the difference.
My car currently has standard rear boxes, an unsilenced H-pipe, and Larini decat race pipes and whilst it sounds awesome when accelerating hard in 2nd or 3rd, and gear changes are accompanied with a very aggressive snarl, it’s a bit muscle car ish, and not entirely to my taste.
So we will see what an x-pipe does to it...
