One of mine has split. I assume its a matter of time before the second splits, so please put me down for two, please.

Many thanks,

Hmmmm, we seem to have a ready market here without a supplier?

Who's doing the sourcing? and from where? Anyone contacted the ebay seller to see if there are more to be had?

E-mailed no response as yet. does anybody have personal contact there or know them well enough to know their name as they might get a more favorable response.

I cannot believe that someone paid £21 + postage for a key rubber that you can hopefully get from a dealers for £6.50p. Just goes to show that there is a market out there for someone with the right equipment.

Continential AutoSports is about a 1/2 hour drive away from me. I bought a replacement button about a month ago from them and it ran me about $17.00 US (which I think is about 11 GBP). I didn't realize that these were so hard to find. Should I go back and see how many they have in stock?

Certainly worth the call Andrew, that would be great to know that we have an immediate source should the need arise

JAGPUR...the so called mug was me and if you can buy them for £6.50 then I will buy a few of them from you! Just let me know where from and yes I can afford £21 for a broken key.

Hi Speedevilus,
Very sorry if I have offended you! I have removed that insulting word from that post.
I made the wrong assumption that the buyer could not have read this forum as I have said above a few days before the auction finnished that the reply to my enquiry and quote I have got from Eurospares was :-

Hi,
Eurospares have emailed back with :-

"Hi yes that part 980001814 is available £6.20 from Italy 7 daysregards James PumoEurospares (Continental Parts) LtdTel: + 44 1787 477169 / 473678Fax: + 44 1787 472867 Email: james@eurospares.co.ukWeb: www.eurospares.co.uk"

If you are happy with your purchase all the better.

Regards
Keith

I'll happily take a couple, which from a quick recap through the thread seems to make it 13 confirmed with other expressions of interest also.

Hi Keith, no worries mate I am sure I'll live! ;-)

Well I now feel like a right mug as I never saw your post! Doh....
I had been looking for one of these for months as both mine are torn so when Parisien mentioned seeing one on eBay I thought this is my chance to replace the broken one. I do however need another for the spare so I like to add my name to the list for one.

Funny thing is there is a few threads on here for this part and no one knew where to get hold of them and I even spoke to this guy in US who said won't ship to UK and now there are a few options. We all live and learn I guess and £21 is not such a huge price to learn from.

Andy, its what the forum is for....helping out whenever possible...if it was just a message board or none of us met, or exchanged real experiences their wouldn't be a sense of belonging to an electronic/virtual/real Maserati community.

As ever someone here knows something useful the rest of use don't, whether it be a source, part, alternative or who to recommend...all eventually benefit!

Long live Maserati!

Hi Parisien,

Sorry, I have been sulking about upsetting Andy, well not realy, I have been away working for a few days, and I go on holliday early wed night for 12 days.
As yet I haven't been able to get any answer from eurospares regarding a bulk buy, but I assume from your post you have had better luck.
How about sorting out sticky for a list and I will get in touch on my return, put me down for two.
Regards
Keith
