To be fair I've seen so many 4200's and a few GS's. There is so much **** out there being sold as 'mint' or very good condition, they're in breach of trade descriptions act!

He needs to - Mine to my eye is well sorted, I took it in today for tyres, Tubi's to fit and MOT, and they have not looked at it yet but the owner rang me to discuss some "issues" from having a look round the car, bearing in mind they have not looked at it properly yet. That will be Monday, I fear an empty wallet occasion coming, just as well I kept a little back allthough I nearly spent that today on an Omega Sea Master Planet Ocean!!!!!

Are they real issues Dave or is it just somebody seeing pound signs. Yours came from a well known reputable source and had an inspection from another well known reputable indy. Unless its done a shed load of miles since you got it.

No, just a couple of soft "dents" which I new where there really - just hard to see, I obviously know about the bonnet front and nose cone chips, however there seems to have been some type of repair on the boot and fuel filler cap. I actually dont think they are like that, I have waited 2 weeks to get the car in, he said they will inspect it and advise accordingly, I will only pay for the work I want doing.
His parting words were, its a stunning car, rare colour and I am really going to enjoy working on it!!

Dave, hope that works out. What was the issue behind the water retention? Did you ever get to the bottom of it?

It's on the list I gave them! Think it's either a T piece in the tube above wheel arch or headlight.

Company called Falcon Engineering, Dave Richardson has used them and have to say overall I was impressed with the set up and their enthusiasm. Was a GTR and RS4 in there when I took my car in.

The guy i spoke to said they do quite a few Maserati and have a good relationship with JCT for spares etc.

I havent been filling the washer reservoir enough for it to leak so it must be doing it under gravity.

As you know I will be going there (Falcon) next week to book MOT and do front discs
You are right they do work on all manner of exotica (see there Facebook page) Lambo's A Martin, Ferrari etc etc
I was given their name by a mate that had an old Daimler V8 engine totally restored. He recommended them to me
and I must say I have not been disappointed with their service, knowledge, capability and even price.
I consider myself to be very lucky that they are so close and offer outstanding service
However I know others in the area that do not rate them!
You pays your Money........................

Well we'll see Dave, I got a good vibe initially so see what they come back with tomo. As he said If all I want is the jobs I have asked them to do and mot then that's all they will do. Tbh if all I wanted was an Mot I know a man who can so could have gone that way but that's not me!!
Sure all will be fine!!

MOT Update - Passed - Absolutely flew through apparently, New rears fitted, TUBI's fitted and apparently sounds awesome, Steve @ Falcon said they have taken loads of before and after photos so they can prove they did not scratch or mark bumper or anything. Still chasing leaking washer tube!!!! Hand brake was fine - just need a little adjusting - so happy teddy so far!!!
