Picking up on the tread by Beau regarding de-catting, I propose to remove the biggest breathing obstacle on the 4200 and that is the stupid, nay very stupid restrictions in the manifolds and front section and fully liberate the horses currently being gelded by folds, bends and restrictions in the stock setup!
Does anyone have a pair of stock manifolds currently not in use that could be borrowed to make a pair of jigs to? They would be returned undamaged in just a couple of weeks once the jigs were made and the header plates CAD modelled for laser cutting.
With proper jigs it should be reasonable to make a set of forum manifolds and naturally a complementary set of front pipes (for that matter if you have front pipes, could they also be borrowed for the same reason), available with no pre-cats and xxx cell cats, no cats or dummy cats, the latter being my preferred option.
It has been rumoured that the stock manifolds are double skin, can anyone confirm this?
