For my 4200 is time for new oil and oil filter. I live in central London.
Even if I could I am not bothered to do it myself.
The required fully synthetic oil 5W-40, 9 litres cost 90£ + 20£ for the filter from Europspares. How come independents and Maserati ask nearly 400£?
Questions:
1) Would should be a reasonable price or a good supplier for this job? 150£?
2) I suppose any fully synthetic SAE 5W/40 API SG/CD - CCMC G5 (as recommended by Maserati) will do. I was thinking to get Castrol since is easy to buy anywhere in case of a rare top up. Or should I stick with Agip or Mobil?
3) Is there any alternative to the original filter or a cheap online supplier?
4) Are the 18mm and 22mm copper washer standard ones? By experience I know that if you do not change them every time there is a risk you will have a leak.
I think I will buy the parts myself and get a local shop to do the change under my careful supervision! Suggestions are welcomed!
