4200 Replacement Indicator Bulbs

Hi Forum

Has anyone ever replaced the indicator bulbs on a 4200? Mine have faced from yellow to white and are possibly an MOT failure. I've been quoted £99.00+ Vat to replace, which seems crazy for two bulbs!!

Obviously the repairer knows how hard they are to get too.
My electrician who wasn't keen to put the car on the hoist, fought from within the wheel wells then found the dry sump was in the way on the right hand side.
The correct technique is to lift the car, remove the front undertray, then with an extension socket reach up to turn ( remove ?) the clamping bolt at the rear of the indicator light set. The set can then be popped out the front to access a bulb change.
So his quote is not unreasonable.

Yes they can be a pain to get at, if your handy enough I would have a go yourself just your time + 2 replacement lamps then!
