4200 Spyder with Sat nav. Audio greyed out

Hi,

I've just bought a 2002 spyder. The radio turns on but the radio/audio section is greyed out and I have no sound or can select no options

I also have no power in the cd unit (Blaupkunt).

I have checked all fuses and they appear to be correct

According to the manual the cigarette lighter is on the same fuse as the audio and that is working ok.

Anyone have any ideas where the "audio" unit or brain is in the car or what the issue might be.

Last owner said it was fine before he sold it to me, he thought it was related to a dead battery (had to be replaced when I collected the car)

Its in the NIT, The unit under the arm rest.

There is a post on here on how to remove by David Howson.

They are ££££ to replace so better to find a blown fuse in there if you can.

Take the lid off the armrest then the black flock tray, you can reach down the back of the NIT unit, there is a fuse on the back face (near side) pull it out but make sure you have the car isolator off next to the battery when you replace it as I popped another one replacing it live when I put my loudlink in.
