just been reading about coupe 3200-4200-GS and the brakes are bigger on the 4200 over the GS - is the 4200 alot hevier or did they down size the brake on saving weight - or is this a typo in the Italia mag

would getting 4200 brakes therfore be an upgrade as we sort of discussed on other threads the GS brakes aren't great

4200 - 355mm 6-pot vented discs
GS - 310mm 4-pot vented discs

I think they're the same and about 310-320mm. For sure they're not 6 pot, but 4 pot. 355mm is the 6 pot brake kit of Formula Dynamics. Also, there was an AP racing kit, that is no longer available. Mr.Loz has this.

Yep, 3200, AC, 4200, GS and MCV all run the same brakes with just a few slight differences.

The AC came with Pagid pads all round and there are differences in the width of the hanbrake shoes and their mounting hardware, but the base hardware is the same, discs and calipers.

*ahem* the AC also came with `carbon` brake ducts on the front (mine had demon tweaks stickers on!), and "re-calibrated brake servo"
