Epic thread drift! Back to it, @Guy and I fell for a stunning 550 we saw last week, but for me the rear seats would mean I’d go late 612 at £100k. 550 is often lauded as the best built Ferrari by those who know them and work on them; no such high praise for the 612 from what I’ve heard.

I spend far too much time dreaming about recreating the QPV and 612 dreamteam, but in blue.

Still, £75m in the Euromillions tonight, I can still dream of that villa in Sintra with these parked outside…

Given the thread is 550 vs 612, I thought I should balance things out a bit after @Guy's 612 photos, with one of my 550 & QP combo. Reiterating the earlier comments from @F456M, it's an absolutely brilliant car and incredibly versatile - it will eat through hours of motorway driving in absolute comfort and then turn it on as soon as you hit the twistier stuff. I am a huge fan of the 612 though, and personally really like the styling.

All three are Luca di Montezemolo cars. That's all that matters. The QP is huge value for the money and so much sexier than the newer QP. 612 is also a favourite of mine. It just looks so f*cking expencive and I love that. ✌️ 550 is the modern 275 GTB and will always be my dream car. My buddy and business partner has 15 Lamborghinis of "all" models except Huracan and his father has another 12. thise cars are very exciting and pieces of art but not very usable. For me a referance point. But the sheer mix of both performance and the classy conduct of the 550 + build quality AND analogue manual V12, and its heritage from the old front engine V12s..... Simply unbeatable.

Is yours in Blu Pozzi? Looks great. I would have loved one in that colour, but there are very few examples (even fewer in RHD)

Yes Blu Pozzi D.S. 521 (D.S. means "doppio strato" which is Italian for base coat + clear coat). Polishing pad will not get blue like on solid blue one stage paint... Interior is Crema (light beige).

I spent 8 hours in an FF this week (testing it was comfortable for 3 of us for 0ur 12 day jaunt to Monaco and Imola in May). I used to be 6'2 and I could travel in the back but would need a cushion for the lack of lumbar support. No problems for the sub 6 footers at all. Looks like I will have to do most of the driving.....;)

Great car and being a 2014 it has the optional glass roof that gives more headroom and less claustrophobia. Without going mad it cruised at 17mpg! I somehow doubt we will get that or the associated 300 miles out of the tank in the Alpes though!

Yes, I'm watching that; curious what a Cat D will make.
Interesting that. Negatives being a cat car, blue interior, early car. But a unicorn manual example. I reckon reserve will be £50-60k. Who knows, wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole, but that’s because I sell them and don’t touch write-offs. As an ownership prospect it may be worth a look.

That is cheap …I think. Although not an ideal interior colour scheme but I’m sure someone out there must like it.
