a good clip round the ear didn't do me any harm and taught me right from wrong, the cane at school and then when parents found out a good clip from them as well, yoof of today have no respect for anyone these days, bugger it I'm sounding like a real old grumpy git now , more T16 shots needed

Don't tell Phil but I have always liked these but have always heard that build quality is appalling

Theyre actually pretty well built, way better than say an XJS, issue now a days is rust in the part bonded subframes apparently.

They also made the Espace in Dieppe. They’d make great tow car if you’d got a R5 rally car.

I don’t think all of the youth of today show little if any respect. I’m a firm believer that it’s down to parenting and as such we have ar53holes breeding little ar53holes. My kids would of had their ar53s kicked if they got into trouble.

One thing I notice here in France is there are a lot less anti social kids and teenagers for sure.
Family life here is very important and it's nice to see.

Im not convinced, the last time we went to France we stayed in Reims and Montpellier amongst other places and did not feel safe with a lot of anti social youths, so much so we said we’d not stay in a big French town again.

To be fair a lot of fiberglass bodied cars until recent years were poorly built.

I second this. Many of the panels are plastic and pretty tough. There’s some fibreglass bits and bobs too.

True, there can be rust issues with the subframe. Where have I heard that before? But £250 for a new rear one is not so bad.

If mine drives as well as I remember it, I’ll keep it, but I did step out of an MG Midget into it way back when, so my specs might be rose tinted.

It amazes me what's just sitting around and let to decay further and further especially when the owner having them so long must have paid strong money for them in the day.
