Have to say that I love my two older cars.
I am fortunate enough to live in Poole and have Emblem on my doorstep; they have looked after the 4200 for nine years now and haven't put a foot wrong; more to the point they treat it as though they owned it.
Annual service time and I felt I had seen enough of the damnable stone chips on bonnet; so am having the whole front resprayed, grille powder-coated black and the surround and trident re-chromed. Headlamps have been re-ground to look as new. Have just been to see it and it looks like a new car ..really. I cannot wait for Emblem to complete the brakes etc and have it back.
They are so thorough when they have the car, the slightest thing is picked up. This time a tiny rust spot beginning on the inside of the boot lid - now attended to.
I have said before, and say again, this car is forever so nothing is spared to keep it perfect. Next year must fix the sticky switch issue.
Oh and the other car I love; my Mini Cooper (see posting about 'garage or car-port' for pix).
