At long last, my first spirited drive in my 3200, recently bought from Ritchard.
A great afternoon in the masser along the hill foot trail in East Lothian. Starting from Edinburgh and running through gorgeous wee villages and enjoying our wonderful Scottish summer (whilst it lasts!). Couldn't resist a visit to East Fortune and it seems the flying season may have started now. A few folk had their planes out.
With regard to the car, what a revelation. It is soooooo quick! Way faster than my previous two 4200 CC'S. It is actually mind bending on full boost and the sound and feel of the turbos spooling up is delicious.
Another surprise is the handling. Compliant on rough surfaces, confident and the turn in is fabulous with no hint of understeer. Maybe I just have a good 'un but these are the dogs dangly bits! Love it! A wee picture of the 3200 getting tucked up with my SSDR trike behind it.71856

2002 - must be one of the last made/registered? Interesting that you've switched to a 3200 after owning 4200s as most have 'upgraded' the other way. What made you go for a 3200? I loved mine. it was my introduction to the marque.

I found the 4200 a bit linear. Also I had bad experiences with both having failed heater matrix and intermittent electrical issues. Got fed up. They were both face lift cars. I tried a 3200 and love the turbo delivery having had a Nissan 200sx and Renault 5 gt turbo in the past. The 3200 is more alive in my opinion. I think the 4200 dated badly. Just my thoughts. Also the interior trim of the 3200 is far superior.

sounds like a good day sir. Certainly once the 3200 is on song and running well its almost unbeatable in my mind. Its a super blend of quick and luxurious, its a fabulous car. I also find the handling pretty reassuring, I have a 2001 car, and after i got the corner weights fixed and the geo sorted out, its grip levels are pretty good, even under some pressure. Hope it lasts!!! enjoy.
