A weeks stay near Calais. Advice please.

Good morning all,

I need a week away abroad but I can only drive approx an hour from Calais (Don’t ask..)

Is there anywhere apart from Boulogne-Sur-Mer worth staying for a week that is that close to Calais/northern France?

We stayed here for a night as recommended by Harry Metcalfe on one of his videos.

About 45 mins from Calais near Bethune and very pleasant. 3 restaurants on site and beautiful surroundings.

Lille is just over an hour away and is wonderful.

Ghent. Fabulous. If you want to spend a bit the Post 1989 hotel is fabulous. Ghent centre is pretty much pedestrianised so you can walk everywhere. Possibly my favourite city in the world. If you get the ferry Dover to Dunkirk you’re even closer than Calais. Plus beer and frites.

Le Touquet is quite pleasant and popular with golfers, which may be an advantage or not! Lots of nice restaurants and lovely long beach.

I was in Bethune for a night last week, nice wee French town, I'd go back. But now I've seen Ghent, I need to go there, it looks superb!
