Not so sure on the 3 seating with driver in the middle.
Okay for the F1 but as a daily?

Agreed, manufacturers should be making cars lighter for better efficiency and by reducing weight they stop sooner too therefore safer.

This is especially an issue for EVs/Hybrids. I think I previously mentioned the new compact sports saloon from AMG, the C63. Only a 2.0 4 cyl with batteries - 2.1 tonnes! Excess weight is now presenting itself a problem for multi storey car parks and bridges!

My Suzuki Swift, 1020kg with me in it! 110bhp...not sure of 121mph top speed, it barely does a ton...anyone know of a long downhill straight that has a constant tailwind?
