Can you have too many Italian motors? Bought myself a runabout to stop Mrs Tee grumbling when I nick the Alfa. First sorta sensible car I've bought in years.

Black interior with red stitching and the Turismo pack. Fun to drive, especially if you razz the b*****ks off it in sport mode. Would be better still if it was lighter, but 160bhp and a wheel in each corner makes for a bit of fun on the bendy Tarmac and conversely it'll pootle along nicely at motorway speeds when needed.

Thanks Nikos, thanks Dave. Dave, hope you're well? Popped down to see Matt the other day. He's up to all sorts of cool stuff.

Nice.

I also keep looking at them since last year, but the Biposto is the lighter one to razz the dogs b*****ks off, but silly money.Biposto 695.jpgBiposto695.jpg

Can't justify the spend on the Biposto I'm afraid Ambient. Silly money and the dog box will be its achiles heel. Had a good look around it yesterday and I'm booogered if I could see the point. I'll stick with me Exxy for the hard core stuff.

Love the look of them and we had one for a couple of months, after a standard 500. The Mrs wasn't getting to grips with it though and after I drove it for a couple of days I understood why. I found it to be really firm beyond acceptable use, pulled all over the place on the 'great' British roads and the seats were sooooooooooooooooooooo uncomfortable (although I have a dubious back - weirdly both the Maserati's I've owned / own have proven to be the most comfortable seats. Conveniently :)). We sold the Abarth after literally 2 months (ouch!) which I was gutted about as I really wanted to like it and she had really enjoyed 6 years in her original 500 (now has an Alfa, so keeping it in the family at least!). But I hope you enjoy yours as I do think they look frankly wonderful, and the fact that there are so many variants in respect of random colours, add-ons and the like - not to mention special editions - which make them stand out from most standard boxes on the rod.

It is silly money when you can get two Gransports (a lot more car(s)) for less money), so sensible decision 595, looks smart and still pretty quick.

I'm wondering whether the suspension set-ups vary, as the ride is absolutely fine on mine - though the tyre roar can be pretty horrible.

Miles, have you heard the aftermarket quad exhausts for the 500/595? Absolutely stunning! Makes the thing sound like a mini Ferrari. A bit pricy though, and too loud in my view if you use the car regularly.

I find even the standard 500 to be a bit like trying to tame a pogo-stick on the chopped up roads, speed bumps, and raised tables and pot-holes we have around my way. I can't imagine what a firmer suspension and lower profile tyres must be like.

What a shame because otherwise I think they're cracking little cars.
