I find it really annoying when you see a car on this auction site and click on the picture to read 'detail's to follow', and they never do!

There is a rant thread....:)
Ok yes on reflection, but to be honest I am such a luddite it took me long enough to figure out how to get a thread started let alone under which title. If there is a way of moving it across please enlighten me. My wife thinks I only go into the office to teach the computer new swear words.
Maybe it should have gone in the Classic Auctions section, trouble is there are so many threads on here I haven't got enough years left to find them all.
Anyway have you noticed whatever thread it is after a few posts it as drifted into another subject, so does it matter. Oh b@gger think I am ranting, you could be right after allo_O

spill the beans then, what you interested in
To answer your question, I was thinking of getting a cheap runaround for the salty months. So, has I am relatively close to King Lynn thought I would check out there November auction, and it struck me what a poor website it is. By now I would have thought with the success they have had they would have improved it. I mean who bids on a car when there is siltch info on it.
Just wondered if it just me (hang on isn't there a thread called that) or do others think the website is poor?

good idea, went to aca a couple of years ago and quite a lack lustre affair, they do get to have some interesting motors and manage to achieve some gobsmacking figures, no idea how they manage that, buyers must be on happy pills or something , by the way if you have a kink for adult outlets you're in luck there's one right opposite aca ;)

See my entries on the Car Auctions thread. I’m 5 miles from KL and go to most auctions there. Have fun setting a £5k limit and buying a fun cheap runaround that I sell back next auction and buy another.

Usually get cheap German barges with long MOT and current is a MB CL500 bought for £2k in the summer and all I’ve spent on it is about £200 on DIY oil and filters and a cheap Chinese tyre to replace an unrepairable puncture plus fuel. All electrics work and it’s not a bad looker with the pillarless windows down. Even had a Bentley Mulsanne from there for £4.5k in 2018 and sold it for parts at a profit!

Agree ACA is cheap and cheerful and very basic, but it’s a cheap way to have fun and save putting miles on valuable cars without resorting to a modern boring car.

might be cheap for for non collectable classics but what they achieve on classic/collectables is mind boggling, went there about 2/3 years ago to look at and bid on a barn find ford rs sierra 3 dr cosworth that required a fair bit of work and only really worth 16/17k and reached a whopping 42k, bloomin mental money
