Its always a ritual, but this time I am thinking it just will not be worth it, half hour up the motorway, will be covered in salt and in a right old state.

Whats everyone else doing?

Hmm... Same predicament I've got to go from Romford to Ashford in the morning and o'night so will be travellling back up the M20 en-route. I was going to wash it tomorrow but there seems little point. I may find a sjet wash nearby if there is time and then give it a quick field glaze. Don't like the harsh chemicals of a jetwash but given the amount of filth there will be on it it is probably not a bad move....

But then If I link up with any of the convoys that idea will go out of the window!

I have to rescue mine from the collapsed wigwam in the morning and give it a clean to survey the (hopefully minor) damage.
On the plus side if it is scratched, the road grime it'll be covered in by the time we get to Ace should hide the worst of it.... :-(

Mine's filthy, but I'll give it a quick once over when I get to Ace. Just washing the micro-fibres at the moment in readiness (God I lead an exciting life!)

Just a quick wash for mine, I waxed it etc at end of the summer and haven't driven it that much since.

Dem,

None since I did the rewire on the pedal pot too, very simple 10 minute job as described on here. Before I did that I still had a few issues with it revving high, like it had a mind of its own. The only problem I have now is the CEL is on but it runs fine and just needs resetting on an SD2.

Lamda sensors (and others) can trigger the dreaded limp mode, is that what you are getting?

Dem, its a sinch. You could even make it even easier and get a scotch lock from Hafords or auto parts center, you then just snap it over both wires, job done.

Got to wash your cars before an event even it they get dirty on the way....It would stress me out all the way to the meet if I hadn't cleaned her.

Get the old dirt off Matt...Get a layer of wax on and it will look good even with the motorway dirt going to the meet........
