I know you were interested on when this would come out Adam.....Well its in the spring but would imagine now that you have had the new Coupe on loan its not for you....Especially as the face is the same.

Thanks, Andy. Maybe the photos are not flattering or the car is very colour-sensitive, but my boat is unfloated. Mind you, I don't think the last Vantage roadster looks great with the roof up, either. The annoyances with the coupe certainly wouldn't be won over by the joys of ruffled-hair motoring.

Happily, I shall stick with my 'old' V12 and watch as 720S prices continue their inexorable decline. £139k on a private sale, I noticed.

540GT is a better car Adam, less power but more practical is thats possible - sub 90K now

Don't disagree Adam....The Matt co,our doesn't help either. I would save 50kish and get a used Vanquish....

I also hVe been keeping an eye on the 720s ..... Some car for the money.

That whistling noise that Maccas make, Frank - is that the turbo or the depreciation?

It’s the build quality. I wouldn’t go near one. Plus, you’ll look like a total dick. Which you’re not, so that’s counterproductive.

Now, now. There you all go talking down Maclarens again! Amazing vfm right now. Drive a 650s and try not to get out grinning.

If only they (Maclaren) started a comprehensive warranty program to take the worry factor out of purchasing (used too) their value would probably recover!

They can’t afford to. I do like them, i just think you need to seriously consider the potential downside. Much like an 80s Maserati.

Consider it a disguise. I love 'em, but visually they're just a bit much for East Anglia.

I love them to....but I would have though you look more of a 'dick' in a Ferrari surely...funny how we all see something different. Saying that the only Ferrari you don't look a dick in is an FF or the latest version...Not sure why but maybe because its a family mans car :) ...but I think I would look a Dick in any supercar.....but who cares.

I must also say that the McLaren 12C Spyder I drove back to back with a Ferrari 430 and Lambo Gallardo was better put together than both the others. It felt a quality product. But then again that was 8 laps around a track and not owning it day in day out.
