Adjustable Head Restraints?

I was watching an episode of Fifth Gear recently and there was a piece about road safety and how to set yourself up WITHIN your own car to minimise any injury should the worst happen......

Anyway, one of the pieces of advice given was to ensure that the top of the head restrain is level with the top of your head. This is certainly the case in my wife's BMW, plus it is adjustable, but I have tried to adjust the head restraints in my GranTurismo and can't see how to do it. I have even looked online and read that they are fixed in place! Surely this isn't correct?

Can anyone illuminate me please?

They do tilt though and the top of the head rest is pretty high even if they initially do not seem so as the shape is like an egg.

Yes. I have tilted mine forward and it's close enough to afford me reasonable protection
