I know! But it's the fear, I went swimming and whilst a poor swimmer, only learned to swim about 7 years ago, I can do a length or two, but I'm exhausted, more poor technique, ticker doing 10 to the dozen, I can feel it pumping and it's very disconcerting.
Maybe cos I know now I have this issue and am aware of it.
Having said that when I was in Dublin last year I bought a regular push iron, nothing fancy, I lived Northside in Raheny, collected bike in Bluebell I think, Southside, something like 15 miles away. To ride back Google maps said 49 mins, took me 2 hours but I did it! Stopped a few times, fecking chain came off several times and needed a bollock-break or two, seat not the best. And I had my laptop bag with laptop in it. Can't takes bikes on the LUAS, so had to ride.
Quite enjoyed it actually, maybe I'm being a bit soft on myself....
