After a year of lurking, I’ve finally joined the club!

I guess it was bound to happen, but just about a week after my 40th I’ve joined the GT sport club.
After doing copious amounts of research, pouring over the threads here and checking my saved auto trader search every day for a long old time, I did what many people recommended and made contact with Richard Grace of this very parish. Long story short, a week tomorrow I will be on my way to collect a 2013 GT sport in my preferred exterior/interior colour combo. (Fully in compliance with all covid click and collect rules!)


It is safe to say I am counting down the days, and should probably apologise in advance for the mountain of questions I will no doubt be asking.
I am toying with the idea of an X pipe - any idea how much this would set me back? Also would welcome recommendations of places on the correct side of the Pennines (Yorkshire) that could supply and fit. Other than that the Apple CarPlay set up appeals and I’ll probably get that done in a few months (hopefully when we are out of lockdown).

An x-pipe would be around £400-750 to fit, I reckon. Depending on who you use.

In Barwick in Elmet, to the east of the city.
Now I remember you! Hopefully we can have a drive out and meet when all these restrictions are over. I SORNed mine in October which with hindsight was the right thing to do so it's just sat on my drive under a cover waiting......

Think V8JAY was selling X pipes cheaper

I bought the X-pipe for about £450 and just had my local garage fit it. Its only an exhaust piece. Makes a world of difference to the sound.
With the carplay/android auto it isn't a difficult job to fit - I fitted mine so am happy to assist if you would like.

Welcome to the club ... looks lovely.

Personally I would wait and see ref X Pipe ... I thought I would want one .. have had it done on most of my vehicles but actually found the GT is awesome without.

All I did was the remote modification so I can have the pipes fully open at the press of a remote button without needing to be in Sport Suspension.
