Alkaline damage to paintwork!

I have recently been unfortunate enough to have had my car damaged in a car park by leaking fluid from the ceiling. The car park owners are aware of the problem and are calling it alkaline damage. It looks like a bird has done a large dropping on the bonnet, but when you try ro remove it, it is like a hard limescale almost.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? I'm sure they are going to pay for it, but I want to avoid the cheap option and make sure its done properly!

Thanks

I had Cortese (Bath) fix a paint blemish caused by minor damage, whoever they outsourced to did a fantastic job. My car colour was difficult - Rame Ghibli - but the match was absolutely perfect. Could give Simon a call to see if he can help you out.

I had birdsh1t ruin my clear coat in serval places on my car, I paid £20 to a guy to polish it out with a machine, took him all of 10 minutes, finish is fine. If its gone through the clear coat into the colour and discoloured that then it will need painting.
