Having just read Phils and Dems replies got me reminiscing, i too worked all over the Mid East and drove out there several tmes, delivering new cars for the guy i worked for in Iran, used to cost £2.50 equiverlant to fill both tanks of an XJ6 20 gallons ,

My question is , seeing as Dem thinks 5p of is good going, and phils , complaint of how much tax ,

Whats the cheapest you can remember buying petrol when you first started driving , this old fart bought my first gallon for my Bsa C15 at the costly amount of 3 shillings and 6 pence, and a pint of lager was 1 shilling and 10 pence com'on Urby gets those brains cells tingling
