And another...

My MCV needs a respray and I am just in the process of booking it in. I am now thinking of changing the colour to Victory Blue. I will still have a black / dark blue interior but I think the Victory Blue is stunning amd I prefer it to black which is a nightmare to keep in good shape. I think it will go with the interior but I believe all the blue MCV's came with blue interior. Any blue GS's with black interior?
Am I mad doing this? Anyone else changed the colour of their car?

I am with Ewan, it would be a shame to change the colour of such a rare car. In an ideal world I would have loved Victory Blue but the rarity of the MCV and the spec of my car meant it was the right car for me.

My Sunbeam Tiger is a colour called Orchid Green and some people thought I was mad to have it painted the same colour when it was restored but it is so rare I just could't bring to do it. What is more over the twenty or so years I have had the car I have actually grown quite attached to the colour!

Good idea Adam. Mine is number 157 and was first road registered in March of 2007.

MCV numbering is weird and typically Italian.

Mine was registered 31 July 2007 yet is 60/180 and Richard told me he believes it was the last MCV imported into the UK.

My car has the extra carbon kit and carbon console, like Robins. And although the original invoice lists the exterior as "Blu Victory", the interior is listed as "Nero". So you're in luck Hilts - you can have a Blu car with a Nero interior.

I've only actually sat in my car once (and that was for only about 10 seconds) so can't remember what bits of the interior are what colour, and I've not got any pictures to check. But I'm hoping to go to the car on Saturday to take a better look.

I've seen a Victory Blue MCV with a black interior, suits it quite well. I'm in agreement not to have the colour changed - I think it will affect the future value for one thing and destroy much of the point of a limited edition car. If you really want a blue car I'd suggest you put somebody like Dicky Grace on the case and then sell yours.

Just has a few pictures through from Emblem. My "Nero" interior consists of lots of dark grey alcantara (such as seat inserts and dashboard), with black leather seat side bolsters and black carpets. The stitching is in blue to match the exterior. It all works very well together, so it's safe to say a black MCV with a black interior could be repainted Victory Blu if so desired and the combination would/does work.

Same interior as mine Ewan. except I have black stitching I have tech cloth on the roof, didn't know you could get leather.
I've decided to keep it black. Respray booked for 2 weeks time.

Mine also has a silver/grey Tex=cloth on the roof.

Here' a few pictures I took at Emblem yesterday (with the Venturi I was collecting in the background). As the MCV has largely been unused for the last 6 years they are doing a major re-commission process for me. Hopefully ready in about 3 weeks.

Just Beautiful Ewan and if she felt the urge to migrate she would be well looked after here.

Ewan,

They both look stunning.

I have always had a thing about the MVS Venturi in its various guises.

The MCV looks stunning in that colour.

Presumably then the first owner of my car specified the black leather headlining even though it isn't actually on the options list. Up until now I had assumed the leather headlining was normal on a MCV!

Seems to vary between cars - mine has some funky tech cloth, I also have alcantara on the steering wheel and dash.
