It's good that I found this place! I used to visit the other UK forum so now and then but I wasn't a regular contributor.

My name is Danny and I own a 1999 black/black, manual 3200GT. I bought this car with engine damage so the first thing that was done was a complete engine overhaul by my Maser specialist in Holland. The engine now runs like it was new from the factory. Furthermore, some enhancements have been applied like the marvellous contactless ETM from Luuk (Boomerang) and an electric water pump (EWP). This summer, the car has also been entirely resprayed after some minor damage to the RH side of the car. In the coming weeks I am hoping to be the first to test the contactless throttle pot prototype that has been developed by Luuk and our experiences will definitely be posted on this forum!

My second Maser is a QPV from October 2005 in nero carbonio with cuoio interior. I think the QPV is still one of the best looking four door saloons on the road these days. Which is quite an achievement, considered that it was launched 6 years ago!

I am a regular contributor to the new Dutch Maserati Chat forum but I intend to spend some time here as well. You guys have some fantastic DIY guides! I already used the thermostat guide 2 days ago and it was excellent!

Here are some pics of my cars:

Danny,

A double Maserati man - what a fantastic, tasteful six-pronged collection!
I know there are plenty on here who would be interested to now more about the modificatiosn/ improvements you have made and plan to make.

Welcome, fellow Nero Carbonio owner,

David

Very nice Danny, your neighbours must think some Italian prince has moved into the neighbourhood with all that premium Italian metal on your driveway.

Yes, we know Luuk very well on here, and a lot have upgraded to his contactless system and they all sing his praises.

Dont be a stranger, hope to see you on here regularly.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome on this forum! A comment to Andrew: I don't know if you put "cambriocorsa" in your avatar (or whatever it is called) on purpose but the Italian name of the paddle gearbox is "Cambiocorsa" (so without the "r"). It means "gearbox for the track" and this demonstrates that the Italians certainly have a sense of humour.

Cambiocorsa means "racing shift" or direct translation "change racing" would not mean much in english.. I am sure Enzo could confirm..?? You learn a few things from Italian girl friends...!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update: the QP has been sold to a friend of mine and quite recently, I have purchased a 3200GTA Assetto Corsa in nero carbonio:

Danny, can I ask how you get your paint to look a foot deep, its amazing.

Ps. you have room for one more black 3200 on that driveway!
