Lovely looking car. Reminds me of one I saw recently..wish I could remember where? Lol

We are just buying 4200's now because after the vote in September there will be 20% vat payable on cars imported from "foreign" countries. :capricorn: :unsure:

Thanks guys, I'm off out today to show the car to a few friends. The car was just too good to pass up. It's an addition to my other (German) cars, so I don't plan on using it too much. It's my first Italian car and I'm loving it so far.

There's at least one name I recognise here so far and the car might go north at some point in the summer? If I visit my cousin near Inverness, she's currently driving a yellow stripped Beetle, I'll let you know.

Morning Angelus. I assume you're heading to Dakota this morning? Was planning to come along, I haven't been to a PH meet for 3\4 years. Last time I was in a trick z4mc with a friend in his matching one. I spent the whole time, as usual, drilling over Paul's Khamsin.

Have you still got the 996?

Yes, going to the Dakota to show her off. I've bought her to replace the 928 I sold last year, so still have the other car. I hope to see you there later. I see someone is bringing 3200 too.

Good to catch up today, the car looks nice even with the dead bugs from your sunshine run yesterday!

They are a massive bargain, running costs won't touch your 928 or 996tt.

Great to meet you Athol, lovely car you have. I need to get it cleaned to the standard I want and keep it there.......if I can stop driving it long enough.

I'll let you know when I'm taking the trip up North Greg, it would be good to meet up.

Very nice, good to see another 4200 heading up North. There is a Scottish Italian Car day on the 25th which I think a few of us are planning on going to. Head down for a blether.

passed vw garage today and noticed yellow beetle with black stripes.............guess your cousin forgot to tell you she has traded in!:saifi3:

Thanks for the warm welcome, I've had the car out for a wee run last night again, I've now done more miles in 3 days than the car had done in 2 years. Loving it.
