Congratulations, I think thats a great buy.

I've got half an interest in his GS wheels, but I just think they're too dear.

I will have a set for sale very soon. Just bought a 4200 with the same wheels but I have switched across to 7 spokes as I prefer the later design. Will post once they are cleaned up.

Thank you. I am really enjoying the car. My previous transport was an E39 M5 and before that an M3 CSL so I am enjoying the extra charisma of the Maserati. I find the car every so slightly less poised than the M5 but the Tubi exhaust more than makes up for it! It is a very comfortable car with a reasonable amout of space. I find the attention that the car gets is very positive even though it is quite loud. Its a perfect complement to my Caterham R500 which is great for quick 1 hour shot, where as Maserati covers longer distances with grace.

I am toying with the idea of the FD springs to tighten things up and also the FD system that increase the speed of clutch engagement as I find the CC system a little lazy especially on hill starts.

Looking forward to being an active member of this friendly forum.

HT, pm Loz off here and ask about the DMS ECU up-date...it may be offering the DBW equivalent ...these are happening this weekend as a group...

Hi Hedgetrimmer and welcome to the forum.

You can also lower the car on the stock springs, which helps handling, though the stiffer springs do have added benefits, albeit at a cost.

I agree with your comments on the CC. The DBW will sort this, or if you go DMS, you can also get a performance remap at the same time. We have a forum purchase in progress as I type, so expect initial reports over the weekend.

Cheers, Emtee.

Miles, wasn't the remap all part of the deal?

P

Sorry P, my description wasn't clear. I believe the DMS forum deal is the performance re-map plus CC remap if requested, though I don't know whether this is at additional cost.
