Hey all,

I thought I'd try to find out who uses their Maser the most and the least on the forum. Mine's my only car but I spend a lot of time in the centre of town and I live very close to work. As such I do no more than 12K miles in the course of a year and many of those are on motorways.

If I'm repeating an earlier thread (as usual) then could you point me to the last survey? Cheers!

Bought it with 32K at the beginning of December 2007. Up to about 64K now (don't want to look anymore. It just makes me cry!)

Emtee...Hope the crying is from happy memories of 32,000 happy miles.

I was going to say, 32,000 miles in 2.5 years sounds like a man living life to the fullest. I plan to do exactly the same, even if I can only get a pittance for mine in another 2 years.

A run, across Belgium? I thought they were the strictest in Europe for speeding, after Austria of course and Switzerland... Hope you didn't run into any issues with the Belgian Gendarmerie, Miles.

then you'd be best running it into the ground, or at least until the depreciation curve truly levels out. Consider it a study in how many miles a 4200 can take before really big things start to go wrong...

Last year a total of 54k and that was all private, and only 5 miles to the office...why, well my family 250 miles, Sophie's 700 miles.

That'd do it. I'm 200 from Edit's family and often 1,600 from my own... I guess on that basis I'm not much a of a son if I only do 12K a year. I won't be telling my mum how much you drive to see your folks.

I do want to look seriously at GS's next year, but I'll see what the numbers look like. I also wouldn't want to sell it on unless I'm happy that everything is sorted. Yes it'll be high mileage, bit I won't sell it on as a dog. I'm doing the wheels in the next couple of weeks, I'll do the clutch etc after Llandow and I'll sort the bodywork somewhere along the way. Hopefully that way the next custodian will enjoy it as much as I have.

No, I am very careful crossing Europe these days. Germany's okay in parts of course. I've done some fun 140 mph stuff there but anywhere else it's a very risky game.

That's the way, we just couldn't just sell a car on unless it was in the condition we'd hope to buy it in. I'd LOVE a GS but it's not looking viable at present. I'd better work harder and save up

Hope the sale goes to plan Loz......it will be strange to imagine you in a GT! If you do get a Cat D car......hope you will treat us again to a pic by pic account from start to finish.

Loz, I have been thinking the same lately. I have had the GS 18months now, and keep my cars about 2.5years, so I am into the final 12 months really.

The GTS is just too much money for me, so its going to be an early GT or a QP.

Would do a cat D but recon there is no way on this planet I will beat Loz to it.

Oh, I do 7k per year, 5k running around and 2k on one off trips like Le Mans etc.
