Well i know Meridien had a Silver Merak for sale about 2-3 years ago because there was one for sale when i visited and it looks identical; and yes prices to seem to be firming up although this is an SS model.

I was looking at a '75 246 Dino (not to buy...but I know the seller and who restored it)...
was up for 125K 12 months ago...now it's 145k
I know it hasn't sold yet, and ultimately it is only worth what someone is willing to pay...
but, that's not the only example.

Why not to buy a 246 Dino, possibly the prettiest Ferrari ever made, and your right about the prices, 10 years ago, you could have one for 40K, but £145K it must be in concourse condition.

Adam,

I think you may be right about that Merak. I too remember it, a very late one with low miles in silver.

My friend had a 246 GTS in red which had been totally restored. He grew bored of it and sold it about two years ago for £60k........ bet he is kicking himself now

That Merak I bet is one of the best available but OMG it is expensive

i prefer the Bora to a Merak, Bora's done come up for sale often and Urby, that Dino would be worth about 90K now maybe even 100+ if in concourse condition.

Adam

He had a choice of keeping the Dino or his Aston Martin DB7 Zagato.............he chose to keep the Aston

That is actually a beautiful car IMO, probably one of 2 nice cars built buy Zagato, it is a shame that the interior is the same on a normal DB7.

What i prefer about the bora is that the merak has those sloping bars on each side whereas on the bora, it has the same, but a sheet of glass inbetween them which looks better IMO and the engine is visible on the bora but on the merak.
