Battered keys

Hi,

Despite my car having only done 30k miles both keys (one more than the other) are in a right old state. Which genius thought that painted plastic was a good idea for a key?

Is it possible without spending the earth to get a new key body? All the rest of it works fine so I don't need a whole new key unit. I've had some mad idea of getting the colour matched, stripping it right down and repainting but that is probably a step too far towards lunacy.

Hi Ben , i'd keep a frequent eye on ebay maserati parts , they occasionally come up from time to time , and Alan from Dick lovets often comes on with some odd ball parts there doing deals on
