Best outdoor car cover?

I'm looking for an outdoor car cover whilst my garage is being built. I have had storm force covers before and they degrade so quicky and fall apart.

I've seen one from a company called Classic Additions which seems ok for £265.

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

I’ve had the Classic Additions cover for over a year now and had no issues with it. I’ve also had the Storm Force covers in the past (x2) and were rubbish as they only lasted a few months until they fell apart.

The Classic Additions cover is better quality and doesn’t seem to move around a lot in the wind (unlike the Storm Force). It also appears more waterproof but still breathable.

If your not using it much I would recommend a Carcoon and when your garage is ready I don’t think your have much problem selling it.

IMHO don't bother with a cover, car has to be scrupulous clean before you put it on, and they can damage paintwork ( did on mine)
My Strad lives outside, I only use cover if I have just prepped the car and am keeping it clean for a particular event.
I was using OEM but that has degraded and it not waterproof, so just ordered a Stormshield.

Stormshield are good and I use mine in the same was as Scaf does. As Jasst said, never use on a car that's not spotlessly clean.

For my Lancia which is still patiently awaiting restoration, I had a Storm Car Cover which lasted for 2 years before the Fenland winds turned it to ribbons, and I now have a Stormshield + from Specialised Covers which seems to be much more robust - if only I could say the same about the Lancia

I have a tailored cover from Covercraft in the US for my 3200. It’s waterproof and breathable and does the job! You do have to be careful to clean the car before you put it on, and to make sure the cover is clean on the inside so it doesn’t have any debris or bits of grit off the ground trapped between the car and the cover. I also pass a shock cord under the car to tie it down to stop it flapping and rubbing.

I've got a QP-sized Auto Cover languishing in the garage while my QP sits uncovered on the drive. Living on a hill, the wind whips about up here. So while the cover was tethered and weather resistant, it kept getting forcibly repositioned by the wind, resulting in me abandoning it.

Car covers are tricky as they need to be waterproof yet breathable, and the car needs to clean, dust-free and dry underneath. It also helps if there is air circulating around the car body, yet the cover cannot move violently around as it will scratch.

As I said, the Storm Force covers I had were rubbish as they disintegrated within months due to UV, moved around far too much, and even though the car was clean it did introduce a lot of dust against the bodywork (which is not good).
