Love the outside. Needs grey alloys IMHO. Everyone knows my feelings on completely blue interiors.

Like you I loved the launch colour which was this. The blue I like but likr Dan would go darker wheels. It's weird but Fuji was one of my favourite colours back then but now the appeal isn't so great. Fashion colour maybe...not sure...Strangely I still like it on a GTS but not so on a GS.

Spend £8k on the special paint but don't upgrade to full leather?!?... presume it was dealer ordered, or just sent to them by the factory on launch day.

You could have the interior all dyed black for a grand if it was too much.

Something deep in my memory says there was a bit of a poor paint blend on the rear quarter...it was a few years ago when this or a very similar one came up for sale.

From what Ive gleaned re: interior colour dyes, they are in no way on a par with the factory colouring of leather as it is fitted. I think this means issues with match as well as fading and transfer..I know what the manufacturers claim. And you wont be successful going black to white as well as the the other way around logically....
If it works, its a no brainer in some cars for my money..
Id be interested to know if there is a system or product that actually does what it says on the tin...!

Matt. The original ex Malborough car indeed had poor repairs to the rear as well as a 4/5 year service gap due to little use and tight pockets.

Had it not been so the car would have been mine when up for sale in Slough about five years back.

As far as I recall, when the GS was first launched, full leather wasn't an option. I remember discussing and testing one at Meridien Modena, and the key reason I didn't place an order was because of the techno-cloth.

But customer demand meant that Maserati soon changed their mind and then did offer full leather.

A bit like when they launched the QP V with only the DS box, when of course, most luxury saloon buyers wanted a full auto. They soon relented.

That is horrible . It's worse than Geoffs 4200 for a colour combo and that had metallic brown paint , dog turd leather and green carpets :lol2:

Correct Ewan. Had same conversation with Dick Lovett. Maserati expected the ‘sporty’ tech cloth to be a winner and the interior everyone would want.

But I would. So I've just chatted to owner. He's about to go on holiday but we plan to meet up in about 10 days time we he takes it for an MOT.

It's no secret that I'm a sucker for a blue interior. And I need to find something to put in the new storage facility come January.
