Biggest Pothole

After hitting a huge pothole last week in my wifes Mini I inspected the rim today to find it dented AGAIN! I now have a complete set (4) of knackered wheels caused entirely by the state of our so called roads (cart tracks).
This prompted a Sunday afternoon drive - potholing! collecting over 20 photos of some 'surface imperfections' as the council call them.

The council put a traffic cone next to it - very thoughtful, been there a week - thats a repair well done!

There are some monsters appearing on the M11 Southbound near Stanstead... couple of weeks before I'm coming that way but I'll try and remember to have the camera with me!

I suppose mosyt of these have got worse due to the weather but they ain't quick in getting them sorted....If you damage your car can you not put a claim in to the council..

Having been to both Iraq and Afghanistan - I can concur! although admitedly we dont have roadside bombs, their roads dont melt in the 50 degree heat either

Suppose you have to prove any damage was caused by the pothole which must be hard...

You take a pic...measurements.........of said hole.......then one off wheel and get an opinion of someone who knows whats caused the damage then play hard ball!

RSM, that Landrover looks like it came to rest in a rather large pothole. I assume it was a landie by the shape of the bonnet. Was that the one carrying the 3 SF guys and the girl?
