A mate from uni is getting married at the Orangery Margam Park in June, so I booked a Brera (love the design of the car and curious to see how it drives...despite all the negative press).

Hopefully Hertz comes through again...last time they supplied me with a lovely little Abarth 500!

Hum, I would be interested to hear your thoughts, like you, luv the outside, hate the interior, and apparently the drive is terrible, so not expecting much in way of praise, especially as you own a GS.

See you Thursday, hope you can make it.

The only one worth having is the V6 'S' with the Prodrive updates. I've driven standard and Prodrive...The Prodrive is a big step forward I thought.

The car looks a dream even if a long way off the mark from the prototype. I would agree that the 3.2 V6 is the only way to go but whatever engine you choose it looks a zillion times more special than the BMW 3 series competition. Given the choice I would still recommend the GT 3.2V6.........it is a proper Alfa with a proper Alfa engine.

Always have a soft spot for the GT V6, last of a bread, if I can find one, I would jump at it like a shot. Great car, and very practical and very fast,.

Yes I do love that car Matt....Often gets over looked. The first time I sat in one it felt so right. In fact I prefered the interior to the Brera. Also why is it that Alfas always look better on Italian roads...

Quite true.
The small petrol engined Brera is a big disappointment.

It's just too heavy for the engine..The V6 is not fire breathing monster but at least with the Prodrive bits it's great in the bends and very involving.

errrrrrrrrrr get a 4.2 litre V8 Maserati engine from breakers yard and drop it into a Brera making it the car it should have always been

ah, there you are JP, looks like your enjoying yourself over there.

Now all we have to do is track down that Loz character....all this sun and fine weather, and the regs (myself included) have all boogered off. I have been away up in Sheffield and must say, I am going to duck out of the Stanford house meet, that is way too far to take the Maser and back in one day, especially when you take into account I am going to bung on 1k miles at Le Mans the following weekend.

Might consider coming up with someone else, if anyone is coming from my way at all?
