When you say occasionally. Braking hard? When hot? Could it just be the road surface?

Bent wheel (if you are Gaz)
Damaged tyre
Wheel balance
Warped discs
Failing bushes
Or any combination of the above. Helpful I know.

When the disks are hot or cold? I got judder one time only after they had been warmed up a bit
All problems solved with complete replacement of disks, pads, a bearing or two, new wishbones, various bushes and rebalancing, unbending and realigning the wheels!

Talking to my mechanic last night, he feels new pads and make sure everything is moving OK is the first step
