the measurement will help decide if you are ****** right now or have a stay of execution. Engines with excess end float can destroy themselves with crank wearing through the block. New engines no longer exist. The cost of work to fix the issue may now exceed value of the car (apparently). During disassembly the halves of crankcase can distort which needs work (line bore?) to fix.What is the use of making this measurement?
Guess it is only really of use to a new purchaser.
Anyone owning a 3200 might already has the disease even if the symptoms are not yet apparent.
