We all have to go sometime, all of us on here will be dead well before the next 50 years has panned out, think about it!
It would be good if you could book a slot, then you'd know...

Then there's Covid

I’ll put it on whilst sanding filler. Wondering how much the 6R4 and Maxis go for.

the ex works 6r4 is a nice car with good history, not sure it will make the 475 to 550 estimate though, but you never know, only takes two buyers that want the same car and bidding fever, will be interesting to watch though

Well I was bidding yesterday as I have always fancied the Mitsubishi 3000GTs... saw this nice looking low mileage one, last sold in 2017 at auction for 9200 inc fees so assumed it would get simulate this time round... errrm nope... £17250 !!

I honestly could not believe how much some cars were making. Outrageous prices for some cars. And then you have to add 15% for commission and VAT.
People going crazy with nothing else to do in lockdown?

Several interesting Renault 5s and 6R4s in the forthcoming sale:

Do Silverstone not do estimates any more, or is it just they will be posted nearer the time?

@3leftovercrest, I thought this would interest you.

Not only do they no longer appear to do estimates, their results page from the NEC Classic Live auction in November is also empty.* Next sale is in March and this caught my eye:

However, the following makes you think:

"In 2018, following a niggling oil leak, the engine was taken to his long-term V64V engine partner and guru - Pete Goodman. Pete personally carried out a complete and total rebuild of every part and the finished article was Dyno-tested at David’s works before refitting back into the car. This engine work, including the new exhaust, cost over £18k plus VAT. It has only run for five or six hours since, all at charity events or demonstrations. Offered with a good history file and all bills and receipts ~ unsold in our previous auction ~ it is now offered at a very much more competitive estimate and in immaculate condition."

Not sure what the previous estimate was because of the paucity of information referred to above but if you have to ask and all that...

*Just looked book at previous Brightwells' offerings referred to in this thread from their October auction and the results of these are missing too. Is this a case of traditional auction houses no longer wishing to be as transparent as before because of poor sales or as a result of the competition from the new kids on the block of the last couple of years like Collecting Cars?

that is odd on no more past auction results/estimates and you may be right in auction houses not wanting to be as transparent any more, however, they forgot about youtube ;), fast forward to 4 hours 30 for the dam
