I came across a box in the loft with the first 12 or so editions of Evo magazine in it. Great mag and such a difference from the rest of the dreary mags available at the time. I must have been up there for an hour, completely frozen, but loved it!

If i go to Auto Italia, Bal is giving me some of his old Evo mags, think i will enjoy reading some of the old tests.

I agree I've re-read some old Evo copies and the layout and content is very good and I may say quite impartial.

Some day our cars will be given the credit they deserve. I've taken my car to work (started a new job last week) twice now and it's attracted very favorable comments. Not every one out there is a snob.

CAR was great 15 years ago but EVO then came out in 1999 and killed it (IMHO).

Ever remember a mag called Fast Lane, it was around about 20 years ago. It seems to have been a predecessor to Evo.

Simon...Performance Car was the EVO predecessor....When Perfeomance Car went under Harry Metcalfe, who used to run long termers for EVO, set up EVO with some of the chaps from Performance Car.

Yes do remember Fast Lane......that was a while ago...WHat happened to it......
