After almost 30 years of ownership I’ve sold my Cooper S race car. I got less than I wanted and the demands of a new bathroom gave me a limited budget. I wanted a car I could actually use so silly stuff was out. I was thinking about a QP for a long time but decided I didn’t want to deal with modern car troubles so started looking at classics. There’s so much rusty **** around in this country I decided to go further afield. 1962 Mercury Monterey, basically a slightly posher Galaxie, so big block Ford FE under the hood.

Just organising shipping from the US and then bit of fettling over the winter.
Hopefully see you at a Wheels on Wednesday next year with that

That's Lucky Tim a little bit of ventilation for the Old Girl.
So many products out there one that turns it black that you can brush on liberally or looking at the size spray on maybe.
I did measure before I bought it!

I used Dintrol on the Ms’s Pug. Thought it looked pretty good and wasn’t tacky after a day or so.

That looks lovely - how about the Lanoguard people are taking about.
Really just a light oil that “goes off”
I don’t know, it strikes me as not being very durable. If I clean and paint it I might use something similar after paint.
