I would always steer people away from any battery operated system. POE has many advantages.
The cabling is cheap, but needs to be threaded and hidden in the building to the cameras.
Anything that involves cloud storage is gonna cost you. And those costs escalate over time. The system is cheap, but the storage is where they make their money.
A POE system needs to be professionally installed so that it re-boots in the event of a power failure without human intervention. It is no DIY job - unless you are an NIEIC standard electrician able to issue a certificate of compliance to all electrical regulations.
A CCTV system will not issue any certificate - they are not regulated (as far as I know).
You only do it once, so my philosophy is to go for the very best system that I can stretch to that is also future proof.
