It's the stone-chips the irk me most so, whilst PPF has drawbacks, I'm a big fan. That said, I've yet to find somewhere that manages to apply it really well the first time. There always seems to be some peely bits that need some remedial love. Maybe I just need to find a really local PPF guy.
I think it’s part of the process (a second visit). The guy who did mine told me at pick up time that he wanted to see the car in 3 weeks for a wash and film check. Said it’s inevitable with heat and movement that something will need a tidy and although he did in my view an amazing job there are two little areas that need sorting afte 10 days. Sent him pics and they’re all easy fixes for when I bring it back for the wash in a week or so. Happy Days!

Pretty much the same experience but without the suggested check-up. That's actually pretty reassuring - thanks. I'll plot a scenic route and make the most of it.

What about clutches Zep?

It does look stunning in the workshop and has been ring fenced and nobody aloud near it.

That'll make it all the funnier when it gets half a kilo of gull guano dumped on it from a gantry at the port.

They know which cars have been meticulously cleaned, you see. They just know.

It’s incredible they can be so accurate. I had 3 of my dailies spaced out parked out front of the house yesterday, around about half an acre of space. I was mowing the lawn at the time and one seagull managed to hit all 3 in one pass, even getting the Z4 on its canvass roof as opposed to the easier to remove paintwork.

Bomber Harris should have employed them for the RAF in WW2!

Seagulls are right bloody bastards for sure. Someone once said that birds see shiny things as a threat, which makes sense in a way. I'm just not sure why crapping on something helps reduce its threat level.

They will want revenge on my as I have been having someone fly a hawk around on the roof of a building in London for the last 6 months to dissuade them from nesting. I hate gulls!

Birds like to **** over water as it reduces any evidence that they are nesting close-by...so dark cars are often seen as bodies of water.

I had a machine polish and Ceramic coating done on the Alpina about a month ago

Very impressed by the ceramic coating especially when driving down the motorway in the rain and the entire car is "hydrophobic"... Can't be pleasant to follow with that much water flying off it

So, Blu Oceano is a bad idea, then!
Aha, so that is why they go for my Azzurro Califonia paint! I always had a feeling that the gulls were aiming at it. It was christened on the first day I got my car, driving through Rye with the top down.
