He's not the first and he wont be the last, although it's good to see him getting back some of the sh1t he throws at other people. It will be interesting to find out how he gets out of this one. Probably his ambitious wife, who doesn't want her income slashed, will forgive him if he doesn't do it again, which, of course, he will. And so on and so forth.

If it's in the Mirror it *must* be true...

In reality I bet it's nothing like what was written. He may well be banging the ar$e off her but I doubt his wife would be unaware considering she manages him and would therefore be well in with all the crew, including those that don't like him.

Of course he's not perfect Urby. He's an opinionated prat with a good turn of phrase who likes to upset the status quo in order to get a reaction. People enjoy the way he does it and has made a lot of money doing it but he has shown on many occasions that, despite being the frount man for a hugely popular motoring show, he knows next to nothing about cars and how to drive them. All in all, just a cheerful, amusing and very popular middle aged idiot who sh4gs around. And gets caught.

Ever since he did the ham fisted road test on the 4200 I haven't had a lot of faith in his abilities. This isn't based on any partisan bias but on driving the car myself. As a presenter he has a tendency to form an opinion (like with flappy paddle gearboxes) and then slates every manufacturer that doesn't fit in with his opinion irrespective of the merits of such technology. Also, when they first did the star in the reasonably priced car he had been round the track dozens of times and if I remember correctly he did a 1.51. Quite a few non motoring journalists/road testers came and beat his time, some convincingly, after half a day. It doesn't indicate to me an abundance of natural talent. I will say he has done one or two non motoring programmes that were really good so I don't dislike him just because he is Jeremy Clarkson.

Also Clarkson is rather biased, i.e, he will always praise a Jag and Aston, i mean remember when he tested the XK Convertible in Yorkshire, he said the interior was not great, the engine was no different than the previous model and the handling was not up to much yet he said it was great. If that had been a Porsche or BMW he would have slated it. He makes out he is proud to be british yet he lives on the isle of man for half the year and drives a German car.
