Have just returned from a three day trip to Rome and on wandering around the City yesterday morning i happend to pass by the police headquarters in a side street, now in this country you find a row of diesel Astras outside but not in Rome i was confronted by two rows of gleaming Alfa 159s and 6 Maserati QPs, which would you rather be chased by ?

Think I'd rather be chased by the Astra to be honest. There ain't no way that thing'd keep up. :)

flippin heck must be a record, o.k i will stop the jokes now. No i liked your Esprit, you put a pic on once, looked nice, and you told me you had it from Chris Neal, went passed them today, had a yellow Evora in and a red TVR Sagaris, both looked stunning.

The Sag is one of those cars that I just have to stop and look twice at ... its not pretty but God its aggressive and makes you want to jump in and tame it.

you dont see many either, i think it is beautiful to be honest, such a wonderful piece of british engineering, 406 bhp from a naturally aspirated straight 6, oh god i love TVR. I am going to go to the national TVR gathering at Chatsworth House next year, never been and it looks a brill day out.

They handle pretty well to Adam ... My mates garage had a red one and its a total different TVR from the rest. A well sorted car. Service can be a bit wallet crunching though.

back to the police cars, I think the LP640 was a mock-up fo Pistonheads, I dont think its real. I remember when Lotus Carlton's were the car of the moment, Kent Police had a couple for getting the guys coming over from the continent. I'd love to see a pic of one of those, see if they had them in BRG or if they were white.

As for the G in Italy for organ transplant, we have similar here. I did some work within the NHS last year and one of the chaps I dealt with headed up the transplant unit - he told me that they had cars around the country on stand-by for if an organ comes available. He wasnt a car nut, but said they have a very fast Audi (sounded like an RS6 to me) based in Scotland ready to do the runs down to London.

How cool would that be - "Woody, do us a favour and take this heart to London....use the blues and get there as quick as you can"
