Cleaning of Gransport fuel injectors

As the Gransport has now done over 50k miles I decided to remove and have the fuel injectors professionally cleaned. Used injectortune.co.uk and very happy with the result. Cost £115 and was provided with a report showing before and after flow and spray pattern. Result is a smoother idle and a sharper throttle response. They claim better fuel economy also but without a trip computer I can't confirm or deny this. Can post instructions of how I tackled the job if anyone is interested.

Sounds good Alex, I would be a little worried about removing the injectors as the fuel rail is under so much pressure, it they are not put back 100% right, will spray fuel over the hot engine...say no more.

Very true. The pressure needs to be relieved prior to removal otherwise you will have fuel everywhere. As for putting them back there are clips to ensure correct fitment and the rail clamps them in place securely via 2 bolts. The cleaning process involves replacement seals to ensure no leakage. Good precaution after refitment to check for leaks before driving off while engine still cold.
