I use an older generation CTEK battery maintainer, and apart from a bit of a dodgy function button it keeps my battery fine for months at a time.
One question re your CTEK Bluetooth monitor, I have read some very negative reviews regarding the Bluetooth connection and general reliability of the application. How has your experience been in this regard?

Hi Keith,

I had a couple of niggles, with one of the Apple updates. But that was quickly sorted out by reinstalling the sender.

From what I have read it seemed to be mostly Android users who had reliability problems.

Mines now been fitted a couple of years, and working very well. I find it to be nice little comfort blanket.

I must have 7 (or possibly 8) smart chargers including a genuine Maserati and 3 Optimates but the 2 I use most are:

  • cheapo Aldi / Lidl conditioner which is hooked up to the TR6.
  • A NoCo smart charger specifically designed for lithium batteries which is hooked up to my MV Agusta.

Thanks for the reply, I am just debating on the CTEK for £45 or an alternative from Ultimate Speed for £25. Of course CTEK have the better name, but I'm thinking there probably all the same and just produced in China with a different app and packaging...

Just noticed Lidl are selling their charger and other car stuff from today!
Yep, just picked up a couple of the £12.99 trickle chargers. I’m using Optimates on the 360 and the GT-S but these Lidl ones will come in handy for my other car & van.
