Ctek cable issue

When I close my boot (gently) it is damaging the charging cables.

So far ctek have replaced a charger and extension cable under warranty (very nice of them)

Is there a way to adjust the boot so it doesn't close so tight? I want to avoid crushing any more cables...

most boots have adjustable rubber stops on them to help with shut lines, you can usually give these a little twist to increase/decrease the gap.

I use an old screwdriver to activate the latch so the boot lid sits ajar. Perhaps not feasible if not garaged.

If garaged, you can leave the boot closed but not latched and then let the plug side cable, which is thicker and stronger, go out the boot. On my QPV this works fine, the boot rubber avoids direct/sharp pressure on the cable. The boot light will go off after a short while so no problems re draining the battery, which should in any case be sorted by the charger. This works even with the added pressure of the indoor cover on the boot lid.

Would leaving the boot ajar allow the alarm to be still be armed?
It does if you push the latch closed as above - the car thinks the boot is locked shut. Just don't forget to blip it open again before trying to slam it shut when setting out
